Good news that makes me tired thinking about it... :-)

The good news is that we'll be around Utah for awhile to hang with friends and family. We'll get to see the downtown project finished and TRAX expanded...all these SUPER exciting things happening to our city. ;-) And while these things are cause ENOUGH to stick around (not to mention glorious jobs at IHC & Moochies)...can't say it's our primary reason. Ok ok...to the point.....looks like I'm going to be in school at the U for a couple more years. I JUST CAN'T GET ENOUGH!!!! This is something that has kinda been nagging (maybe prompting is a better word) for awhile now. I really enjoyed and had fun with my major....but i had trouble really getting into and and trying to fathom a career with it. And the thought that always came back to me was that the one time I was passionate about actually going to school was when I was in the education program. Anytime I read something fun or find something interesting I've always subconsciously been planning on how to make a lesson plan around it and make it fun for kids. During the time I did student teaching...it was like "yeah...this is awesome and I love it!" So why did I stop way back when?? I hadn't finished my math and that was the last credit I needed to apply for the program. I was so behind in math that it would take me three semesters of JUST taking math before I could even apply to the program. Slightly deterring...but I did finish my math and by that time I'm not exactly sure what happened that I didn't go back. I've met with a counselor and she really liked me and was very enthusiastic about having a male in the program. The bottom line is...I'm finally excited about school again and EXTREMELY optimistic for the future! Jenesse is absolutely wonderful and MOST importantly...patient with her husband and I am so grateful for her support. And for those of you with kids...beware...and please don't be one of THOSE parents. ;-)

So....can anyone tutor me to take the PRAXIS exam?? Anyone??

That's great, Rob! I think you'll enjoy being a teacher. And you'll have good job security, too. It's one of the few occupations where, qualifications being similar, the "Equal Opportunity Employer" concept would hire a man over a woman. Best of luck in school!

PRAXIS? Is that the stuff that builds-up on your teeth when you don't brush often enough? ;)

Congrats! You'll be an amazing teacher and we're VERY happy you'll be around for a while.

Woot Woot! Look at you. That is so incredibly awesome my old friend! I can just see you torturing your students and throwing books at them like Mrs. Gessler. Hooray for education! I almost wish WE lived in Utah so that you could teach my kids! You'll be the best at it Rob! Congrats on the decision!

Word Verification: numishil

In a sentence: When Rob is a teacher he will be able to explain to the world what a numishil is. Numishil.

congratulations on being one of the few people that find something they really love. I am impressed. Good luck with that, wish I could help with the praxis, but I really can't sorry. I will put good vibes into the universe for you though.
